The event was held within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Capacities of the Reception and Reintegration System for BiH Nationals Returning under the Readmission Agreement – Phase II,” implemented by the MHRR, financed by Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge-BAMF). Our participation followed an official invitation from the MHRR project team, which recognized the importance of the Newplacement International project in supporting returnees, strengthening cooperation with local institutions, and contributing to sustainable reintegration efforts across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Throughout the event, our team engaged with entity and cantonal coordinators, Local Readmission Teams, social welfare representatives, and readmission officers. The discussions addressed key challenges within the reintegration system, the needs of vulnerable returning families and individuals, and opportunities to enhance institutional coordination and service delivery.
The Newplacement International project used this platform to share practical field experiences, present examples of successful reintegration cases, and build stronger relations with institutions that play a crucial role in supporting returnees. Although operating independently and under a separate mandate, the project remains fully committed to contributing to broader national efforts aimed at improving reception and reintegration mechanisms for citizens returning to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We strongly hope that the project “Strengthening the Capacities of the Reception and Reintegration System for BiH Nationals Returning under the Readmission Agreement – Phase II” will continue beyond the current phase, as this form of structured, coordinated support remains essential for ensuring dignified, effective, and sustainable reintegration for all returnees.
